Biography
Megan Divine is a voice actor, singer, song writer, and Human Design practitioner based in Los Angeles.
Being mixed and raised in an Indian culture, Megan comes from an eclectic background. She has roots in Czechoslovakia and Africa. When it comes to performing a variety of accents, Megan is able to use this multiculturalism to her advantage.
Megan was born on a U.S. Army base in Germany and being from a military family, she grew up in a variety of locales, starting in Ohio, Texas, Florida, Chicago, and finally Los Angeles.
Therefore a born global traveler, she has experienced and embraced many cultures around the world and incorporates the rich wisdom gained from this in both her music and acting.
Since she was a child, Megan had professional voice training, has been in choir and was taught how to play piano, clarinet and violin. As well as an early acting training, Megan has also been writing songs a from a young age.
Megan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College. She has mastered the English Language well enough to be a teacher of diction, and is also fluent in French. She has conversational Spanish and has studied Italian, Latin, and Ancient Greek. Her accent repertoire includes a wide variety of American English, several British English, Irish, Scottish, Indian, French, Jamaican, West African, Russian and Arabic which she has been practicing since she was 8 years old.
Megan has been writing for the past twenty years and has deeply studied poetry and song writing. Her vocal style could be described as a combination of pop-folk, soul, breathy, and her range is alto-soprano. She has had lead roles in several musicals including A Chorus Line, Grease, Wicked, Rent, and Phantom of the Opera.
Megan is continuously training and exploring methods to improve her craft and is thrilled to begin pre-production on her first studio album in the coming year.
